Night Bloom (detail), acrylic on canvas, 5 x  8 feet, 2017

A selection of paintings from 2010 - 2017
Still life, abstraction, with the influence of the figure, flowers and landscape.

My interest in painting connects to the act of observation. I return to nature, images, still life, or the figure throughout the process in order to ground the abstracted narratives my paintings present.

Art history and the dialogue between formal languages of paint inspire a process of working that is fluid and intuitive.

The paintings in this archive present a range of interests, going back in time to my foundation in still life, the figure and working from observation in the landscape.
